The Internet is an integral part of today’s information era and is growing at an astonishing rate in the way it is used, the variety and number of users accessing it and the amount of information that flows through it. Such a phenomenon translates directly into an increased demand for WAN (Wide Area Network) access by all types of users. This in turn creates a demand for high perform ance, cost-effective wide area networking equipment.

However, because of the proliferation of available WAN technologies and products, it is becoming more difficult, even for experienced users, to make a wise purchase decision in terms of the equipment they need for WAN access.
