I doubt you need me to tell you that in the past few years security has become the issue in the IT industry. When you consider that the time in which an unprotected system connected to the Internet becomes compromised is now measured in mere minutes1, and that zero-day exploits, worms, rootkits, and other evils seem to threaten networks (and by extension, network admins) at every turn—well, it’s enough to drive any administrator to despair.
